FAQs on the Credit System

Here are some common questions about our credit system.

What are credits?

Credits are the single currency that powers every tool on The Fabricant. Instead of separate allowances for images and videos, you get one credit pool that you can spend however you like - across Create Image, Edit Image, Sketch to Image, Photo Studio, Editorial, Video, Canvas, Upscaler, and Background Removal.

Think of credits like a creative budget. You choose where to spend them based on what your project needs.

How much does each action cost?

Different actions use different amounts of credits:

Images

  • Any image (Fast or HQ): 1 credit

Video

  • 720p video (HD): 5 credits
  • 1080p video (Full HD): 8 credits

Included at no cost

  • Background removal: free
  • Enhance: free
  • Upscaling: free

These costs are the same on every plan. The only difference between plans is how many credits you receive each month.

How many credits do I get?
  • Free: 3 credits per day
  • Basic ($19/mo): 120 credits per month
  • Pro ($59/mo): 450 credits per month
  • Premium ($219/mo): 2,000 credits per month
  • Enterprise (custom): Flexible shared pool
What can I do with my credits? Real examples

Here are a few examples of what a month might look like on each plan:

Basic (120 credits)

  • 120 images, or
  • 15 videos in Full HD, or
  • 80 images + 5 Full HD videos

Pro (450 credits)

  • 450 images, or
  • 56 videos in Full HD, or
  • 300 images + 18 Full HD videos

Premium (2,000 credits)

  • 2,000 images, or
  • 250 videos in Full HD, or
  • 1,500 images + 60 Full HD videos

Of course, you can mix and match however you like. That is the whole point.

What is the difference between Fast and HQ?

Fast mode generates images quickly at standard quality. It is great for exploring ideas, iterating on compositions, and getting a feel for a direction. HQ mode uses significantly more computing power to produce higher-quality results with better detail, consistency, and fewer errors. It is built for production-ready outputs you can use directly. Both Fast and HQ cost the same - 1 credit per image - so you can choose the quality you need without thinking about cost. We have invested heavily in improving HQ quality, stability, and reliability, and that work continues. Tip: Use Fast to explore and iterate, then switch to HQ for your final outputs. This is the most efficient way to use your credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Credits reset at the end of each billing cycle on all plans. This is the same as the previous system - unused generations did not roll over either.

Enterprise plans have annual credit expiry, giving teams more flexibility to plan usage across the year.

Can I see how many credits I have left?

Yes. Your remaining credit balance is visible in your account dashboard at the top of the page at all times. You will also see the credit cost of each action before you confirm it, so there are no surprises.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Once your credits are used up for the month, you will need to wait until your next billing cycle for them to refresh. You can also upgrade your plan at any time to get more credits immediately.

If you upgrade mid-month, you only pay the prorated difference.

Which tools use credits?

Every generation tool on the platform uses credits:

  • Create Image
  • Edit Image
  • Sketch to Image
  • Photo Studio
  • Editorial
  • Video
  • Canvas (nodal workflow)
  • Upscaler
  • Background Removal
  • Enhance

Browsing, organising your library, and downloading previously generated assets does not cost credits.
